Reloaded Injustice

The cycle never really ends.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, the world paused, but racial injustice didn’t.

In a world hyper-connected by technology, racial injustice still plays on loop; tragic, repetitive, and unresolved. Like a feed that won’t update, the system is broken.

I used a universally recognized digital gesture, the Instagram refresh screen as a metaphor for the cycle of racial injustice. By hijacking a familiar visual, I showed how for Black people, there's no escape from a system that keeps reloading harm.

Each failed “refresh” mirrors another Black life taken.
